“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Here’s what we discuss with Lea in this program:
- The night in Philadelphia at the World Congress of Positive Psychology where this book came to be.
- Lea initially lacked the confidence to write the book. What started the process to write the first word? Why not me?
- Are parents becoming a little overwhelmed by the pressure of expectation that society is putting on us that we are not letting our kids flourish?
- Right intention, Wrong direction. What right and what's wrong?
- Is this book appropriate for big kids as well, not just restricted to parents?
- At times, to the outside world, Lea was a successful high performing achiever but on the inside Lea were bulimic, empty and suffering anxiety, carrying years of pent up sadness. We discuss how that felt back then and what were the first steps to getting out of that dark place?
- What has Lea learnt about her own personal definition of success or failure?
- The two vital psychological tools ... optimism and resilience.
- Being strength based doesn't mean ignoring weaknesses, where does that fit?
- What are the three key elements to identifying a strength?
- Roman Philosopher Cicero called gratitude the parent of all the virtues. What have we learnt about gratitude?
- Rituals of Thankful Thursday?
