An alternative approach to the traditional model of life and work

Derek Sivers is one of the most fascinating guests we've ever interviewed. He is part philosopher, part programmer, a master teacher, and a best selling author. Derek started as a professional musician and circus clown, and went on to create CD Baby, the largest seller of independent music online. The company had with $100 million in sales for 150,000 musicians. In 2008, Derek sold CD Baby for $22 million and gave all the proceeds to a charitable trust for music education. He's published 34 books, including 'Anything You Want.'

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
― Hunter S. Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967
